Cornelio Cordearo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elvijs Presley, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 24th match minute, Malmö White Knights was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roby Baggio to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ramiro Lano got free with Johnny Banks in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Malmö White Knights's Johnny Banks played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Epifanio Txomin in the 36th minute of play. After 39 minutes of play, Racing Club's Ramiro Lano made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Johnny Banks was left in no man's land by his defense there! Johnny Banks was out of position in the 44 minute of play, and Lucas Eladio capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Lucas Eladio really showed his touch with that goal: 3-0. Cornelio Cordearo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elvijs Presley in the 47th minute of play.

Racing Club's Cristo Faron was substituted for Ramiro Lano. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roby Baggio in the 52nd minute of play forced Racing Club's goalkeeper Cornelio Cordearo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Malmö White Knights's Olívio Meireles got a free kick in the 55th minute. Johnny Banks made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Epifanio Txomin in the 59th minute of play. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 81 minutes in the game Otto Bern did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Di Feng Zheng. Elvijs Presley blasted a shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cornelio Cordearo having to make a save.
