The crowd rose to their feet as Galati Harbour Cats's Shi Li slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Sebastian Sandberg. That made the score 2-0 after 48 minutes of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Åke Fors stepped up to make the kick off in the second half.
