After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Cipriano Santana managed to get in a good position for a shot. Icoara Football Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Cipriano Santana was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ignacio Di Stasi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 47th minute Pedro Domingues shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Otávio Penha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-4.

The wind increased when Dito Ramos made the kick off in the second half. Otávio Penha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedro Domingues in the 51st minute of play. In the 55th minute, Pedro Domingues left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Isótopos V.M. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-5. 60 minutes into the match, Icoara Football Club's goal looked a bit too open when Pedro Domingues came free, but Otávio Penha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Isótopos V.M.'s Gualterio Mede was substituted for Pedro Domingues. Icoara Football Club's Otávio Penha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Albeiro Usuriaga in the 64th minute of play. Ignacio Di Stasi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cipriano Santana in the 67th minute of play. In the 70th minute, Albeiro Usuriaga made a precise shot to the right of Otávio Penha. Icoara Football Club's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-6. In the 76th minute the ball was on its way in behind Icoara Football Club's goalkeeper Otávio Penha, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Albeiro Usuriaga's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 86thth minute, Otávio Penha skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 87 minutes into the match, Isótopos V.M.'s Albeiro Usuriaga sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Otávio Penha narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Taribo West received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Otávio Penha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Otávio Penha was a little too slow when Albeiro Usuriaga got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 91st minute. The score was now 1-7. Isótopos V.M.'s supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
