But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fagildo Pamanes couldn't finish the play. In the 89th match minute, Consejo del Mate was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Javier Betadur to maneuver through the defense. Godfredo Obano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fagildo Pamanes in the 94th minute of play. Honorato Zambujal kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. Feliciano Itzaina, 96 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The ALEXANDRIA fans cheered their team off the field, for while Consejo del Mate had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
