In the 3rd minute Ethan Stiles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adrian Grøndahl saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Ethan Stiles's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Adrian Grøndahl was relentless in the 6th minute of the game. FC Shakhtar Donetsk were awarded a corner in the 7th minute after Suleskard's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Damien Blake took the corner. Damien Blake made a great header on FC Shakhtar Donetsk's corner, it was just that Suleskard's Adrian Grøndahl managed to reach the ball for a save. Kristian Neteland hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. Zhang Hong Xun made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Torjus Fjellheim in the 12th minute of play. 14 minutes had been played when some careless play by FC Shakhtar Donetsk's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Edvin Hilde was slow to take the kick. During this time Suleskard's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Lars Oftedal almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but FC Shakhtar Donetsk's Zhang Hong Xun did a great save. 14 minutes into the game, Lars Oftedal lined in a short shot 1-0 behind a frustrated Zhang Hong Xun. Zhang Hong Xun showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Torjus Fjellheim in the 18th minute of the match. In the 29th minute, Ethan Stiles made a precise shot to the right of Adrian Grøndahl. Suleskard's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Torjus Fjellheim in the 31st minute of play forced FC Shakhtar Donetsk's goalkeeper Zhang Hong Xun to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zhang Hong Xun showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rocky Ryland, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Ethan Stiles's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Adrian Grøndahl read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 37th minute of play. 44 minutes into the match, FC Shakhtar Donetsk's goal looked a bit too open when Rocky Ryland came free, but Zhang Hong Xun reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 45 minutes into the match, Damien Blake notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Suleskard's Adrian Grøndahl. Adrian Grøndahl was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After the first half FC Shakhtar Donetsk were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lars Oftedal to make the kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Lars Oftedal notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of FC Shakhtar Donetsk's Zhang Hong Xun. Zhang Hong Xun was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 54 minutes into the match, Ethan Stiles had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Adrian Grøndahl. Suleskard's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ethan Stiles was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-3. 57 minutes into the match, FC Shakhtar Donetsk's goal looked a bit too open when Torjus Fjellheim came free, but Zhang Hong Xun reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ahmet Erdem Zekai hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. Zhang Hong Xun showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rocky Ryland in the 63rd minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ethan Stiles got free with Adrian Grøndahl in the 64th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Christoffer Gjelsvik was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 72 minutes into the match. Suleskard made a substitution. Alf Nøttveit replaced Torjus Fjellheim. Ethan Stiless short, quick shot in the 78thth minute got Adrian Grøndahl to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The audience thought a goal was coming when Damien Blake got free with Adrian Grøndahl in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 83rd minute, Kristian Neteland hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. FC Shakhtar Donetsk's Zhang Hong Xun played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rocky Ryland in the 90th minute of play. Ethan Stiles could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 91st minute of the match, but Adrian Grøndahl made a huge save. Daniel Mauseth's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Zhang Hong Xun read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 94th minute of play. Adrian Grøndahl showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Damien Blake in the 96th minute of the match. The Suleskard supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching FC Shakhtar Donetsk's performance. The match ended with a win for FC Shakhtar Donetsk.
