The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Santiago Gaizko didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Adan Gonza went, in the 4th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. 11 minutes into the match, Lunatico F.C's Moises Cilio sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Guaberto Cucao narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 12th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mainumby's goalkeeper Guaberto Cucao, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Lunatico F.C were awarded a corner in the 13th minute after Mainumby's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Moises Cilio took the corner. At last the ball reached Celso Berdoi at the corner, ending with a kick to difficult to stop for the goalkeeper of Mainumby. 1-1. In the 18th minute of the match Lunatico F.C got a corner. Mainumby's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Moises Cilio ran over to the corner to take the kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rosendo Sanson got free with Guaberto Cucao in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Santiago Gaizko showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nunez Gizon, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. 31 minutes into the match, Lunatico F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Adan Gonza came free, but Santiago Gaizko reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mainumby's Guaberto Cucao played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Moises Cilio in the 37th minute of play. Luis Gelacio charged in rather forcefully in the 37th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Luis Gelacio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Lunatico F.C booed when Mainumby was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luis Gelacio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Guaberto Cucao made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Moises Cilio in the 40th minute of play. In the 43rd minute Moises Cilio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guaberto Cucao saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The corner led to Lunatico F.C's Anastasio Fliz getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nunez Gizon was the one to do the kick off. With a little luck, Lunatico F.C's Santiago Gaizko got control of the ball when Nunez Gizon tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 56 played minutes Lunatico F.C got a freekick which was hit by Rosendo Sanson. Luis Gelacio kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. In the 76thth minute of the game Moises Cilio who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mainumby's Guaberto Cucao was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to Mainumby getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Luis Gelacio hit a great ball. Lunatico F.C made a substitution. Joël Devidal replaced Rosendo Sanson. Lunatico F.C's Anıl Timurtas was substituted for Eray Bilen. In the 78th minute, Luis Gelacio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 82 played minutes Lunatico F.C got a freekick which was hit by Joël Devidal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ladislao Serafo in the 83rd minute of play forced Lunatico F.C's goalkeeper Santiago Gaizko to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 84 minutes into the match, Jouke Krol notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Mainumby's Guaberto Cucao. Guaberto Cucao was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jouke Krol in the 88th minute of play forced Mainumby's goalkeeper Guaberto Cucao to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luis Gelacio kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. Guaberto Cucao came out of the goal in the 92nd minute to try and stop a shot by Lunatico F.C's Jouke Krol. But to his dismay, Jouke Krol quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. Ezequiel Sugoi hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. Guaberto Cucao made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joël Devidal in the 97th minute of play. Lunatico F.C were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Mainumby for a fine match.
