In the 5th match minute, Emeryt Sosnowiec was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Milosz Dubilas to maneuver through the defense. Aírton Proença took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 5th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Cícero Palmeira. Emeryt Sosnowiec's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Real Camaçari Futbol Club were awarded a corner in the 6th minute after Emeryt Sosnowiec's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Aírton Proença took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Aírton Proença got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Cícero Palmeira quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Cícero Palmeira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roberto Pachistre in the 14th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Viktor Cziráki managed to get in a good position for a shot. Emeryt Sosnowiec's supporters rose to their feet, but Viktor Cziráki was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Erasmo Linares breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Real Camaçari Futbol Club's Erasmo Linares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zdzislaw Kręcina in the 25th minute of play. In the 28th match minute, Real Camaçari Futbol Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Egun Cantoral to maneuver through the defense. In the 34th minute, Egun Cantoral made a precise shot to the right of Cícero Palmeira. Emeryt Sosnowiec's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Viktor Cziráki had several of the Real Camaçari Futbol Club's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 39 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-1 score and a disappointed Erasmo Linares as he didn't even see the shot coming. Zdzislaw Kręcina sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Viktor Cziráki blasted a shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Erasmo Linares having to make a save. Viktor Cziráki took the ball and in the 47 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Erasmo Linares. Erasmo Linares dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The wind increased when Roberto Pachistre made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Emeryt Sosnowiec booed when Real Camaçari Futbol Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aírton Proença didn't get a good kick on the ball. Erasmo Linares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Viktor Cziráki in the 56th minute of play. Acácio Medeiros kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. Alexander Helguera kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Viktor Cziráki's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Erasmo Linares was relentless in the 64th minute of the game.
