In the 17th minute of the match Club A. Independiente got a corner. Hoberg United's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Manuel Cordearo ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Manuel Cordearo got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Dida Martins quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 18th minute Lionel 梅西 shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dida Martins saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Balázs Sebes in the 20th minute of play forced Club A. Independiente's goalkeeper Lajos Vadász to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 23 minutes into the game, Benny Bus threw the ball into play from the sideline. Club A. Independiente's Anibal Iraitz quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Hoberg United's attentive Benny Bus managed to snatch the ball when Anibal Iraitz made a throw-in in the 25th minute of the game. After 26 played minutes Club A. Independiente got a freekick which was hit by Anibal Iraitz. 27 minutes into the match, Club A. Independiente's goal looked a bit too open when Balázs Sebes came free, but Lajos Vadász reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Hoberg United's Danny Grønnow got a free kick in the 28th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Balázs Sebes in the 31st minute of play forced Club A. Independiente's goalkeeper Lajos Vadász to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Club A. Independiente's Lajos Vadász played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Balázs Sebes in the 34th minute of play. The throw-in from Anibal Iraitz in the 35th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Hoberg United's Benny Bus. Lajos Vadász didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Danny Grønnow went, in the 38th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. When Hoberg United's Balázs Sebes in the 41st minute got a chance for a shot 41st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Club A. Independiente's goalie prevented a goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Lionel 梅西 made a kick off. The supporters of Hoberg United booed when Club A. Independiente was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roberto Rojelio didn't get a good kick on the ball. 57 minutes into the match, Club A. Independiente's goalkeeper Lajos Vadász had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Danny Grønnow. If Balázs Sebes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Independiente's Lajos Vadász proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to save Club A. Independiente from getting a goal against them. Lajos Vadász showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Caetano Levandowsky in the 78th minute of the match. Caetano Levandowsky blasted a shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Lajos Vadász having to make a save. When Lionel 梅西 came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Club A. Independiente fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lionel 梅西 couldn't finish the play. Lajos Vadász made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Caetano Levandowsky in the 91st minute of play. When the match had gone on for 92 minutes, Caetano Levandowsky took a quick shot and it went in 0-2 without a chance for Lajos Vadász to make any attempt to save it. Hoberg United's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
