The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Prudencio Lehior sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Dalmacio Llorenc came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the Herrier fans jumped to their feet. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Yiğit Haşmetli managed to get in a good position for a shot. A nice corner shot did that Yiğit Haşmetli got away a dangerous shot. Herrier's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Indiana University the free kick. Justo Izotz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Özalp Haliloğlu in the 52nd minute of the match. Justo Izotz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yiğit Haşmetli, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Indiana University's Yiğit Haşmetli got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Indiana University booed when Herrier was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Augusto Ignatius didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 65 minutes of play Indiana University's Okanay Kiram was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. A collision led to Herrier getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Hubert Esparza hit a great ball. After 79 played minutes Herrier got a freekick which was hit by Hubert Esparza. When Hikmet Temirkut came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Indiana University fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hikmet Temirkut couldn't finish the play. Justo Izotz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mustafa Kemal Akman in the 88th minute of the match. 95 minutes into the match, Herrier's goal looked a bit too open when Aykut Kocaman came free, but Justo Izotz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the referee ended the match the Indiana University players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
