Jerônimo Maranhense showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tommy Beck, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. 11 minutes into the game, one of Ronnys Lärjungar:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Bruno Macedo kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. After 21 minutes, Nando Pinho made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Ronnys Lärjungar's Rolf Arvidsson tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Octav Novac hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Rolf Arvidsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pedrinho Castro, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. After 33 minutes of play, Nitra FC's Nando Pinho made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rolf Arvidsson was left in no man's land by his defense there! Nando Pinho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Octav Novac hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. When Nando Pinho came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Nitra FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nando Pinho couldn't finish the play. Pedrinho Castro struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Rolf Arvidsson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nitra FC. The Ronnys Lärjungar players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Nitra FC were winning 0-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Pedrinho Castro to strike the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Ronnys Lärjungar getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Bertil Harlén hit a great ball. With a little luck, Ronnys Lärjungar's Rolf Arvidsson got control of the ball when Nando Pinho tried to sneak it across the goal line. Pedrinho Castro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Rolf Arvidsson made a huge save. Nando Pinho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nando Pinho got free with Rolf Arvidsson in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Robert Viklund hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. Ronnys Lärjungar's Rolf Arvidsson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to save Ronnys Lärjungar from getting a goal against them. In the 72nd match minute, Ronnys Lärjungar was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Robert Viklund to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Jan-Erik Säf managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ronnys Lärjungar's supporters rose to their feet, but Jan-Erik Säf was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jerônimo Maranhense breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jerônimo Maranhense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tommy Beck in the 79th minute of play. Rolf Arvidsson acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 83rd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Octav Novac. After 89 played minutes Nitra FC got a freekick which was hit by Bruno Macedo. In the 90th minute of the match Bertil Harlén shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jerônimo Maranhense showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The supporters of Nitra FC booed when Ronnys Lärjungar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rudolf Persson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tommy Beck received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Jerônimo Maranhense tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nitra FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
