Stipe Pletikosa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eusebio Hori, who was totally free with the ball in the 2nd minute. Emanuel Olisadebe came free with the goalkeeper in the 5th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Stipe Pletikosa could save by the left post. Nencho Shumarov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Andres Ekhi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 10 played minutes Fortuna 86 Szczecin got a freekick which was hit by Nencho Shumarov. When Ricart Futebol Clube's Eusebio Hori in the 14th minute got a chance for a shot 14th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Fortuna 86 Szczecin's goalie prevented a goal. Stipe Pletikosa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eusebio Hori in the 18th minute. Roberto Nirvana recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ricart Futebol Clube's Eusebio Hori got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eusebio Hori in the 46th minute of play forced Fortuna 86 Szczecin's goalkeeper Stipe Pletikosa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Roberto Nirvana stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Ricart Futebol Clube getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Reinaldo Palmeira hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eusebio Hori in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Stipe Pletikosa saved Fortuna 86 Szczecin from getting behind. Eusebio Hori's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Stipe Pletikosa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 56th minute of play. Stipe Pletikosa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Eusebio Hori went, in the 67th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. In the 69th minute, Tadeusz Bartoszek hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eusebio Hori in the 71st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Stipe Pletikosa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Andres Ekhi made a fantastic save in the 73rd minute, when Harun Mengüer sent off a good shot on target. In the 75th match minute, Ricart Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tales Gonçalves to maneuver through the defense. Tadeusz Bartoszek hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Eusebio Hori fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stipe Pletikosa having to interfere. The supporters of Fortuna 86 Szczecin booed when Ricart Futebol Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tales Gonçalves didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 88thth minute of the game Harun Mengüer who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ricart Futebol Clube's Andres Ekhi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Eusebio Hori managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ricart Futebol Clube's supporters rose to their feet, but Eusebio Hori was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Stipe Pletikosa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ricart Futebol Clube made a substitution. Abel Ramalho replaced Eusebio Hori. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
