Sigvard Edström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mai Jian Sen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Wilson Ribeiro hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. AS Monaco FC made a substitution. Kajetan Madajczyk replaced Mai Jian Sen. In the 80th minute, Wilson Ribeiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Slawomir Snow might have been able to make a better finish in the 81st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sigvard Edström. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out.
