If Quirce Lamas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Quirce Lamas in the 15th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Feijo Zárate saved HORTALEZA FC from getting behind. 21 minutes in the game Juan Guerrero did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Macerio Zaplana. Feijo Zárate came out of the goal in the 23rd minute to try and stop a shot by ◄◄Lucas Cerro Largo►►'s Quirce Lamas. But to his dismay, Quirce Lamas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Galsino Vilanova in the 27th minute of play forced ◄◄Lucas Cerro Largo►►'s goalkeeper Ermengol Baena to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alex Gómez hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. 40 minutes had been played when some careless play by HORTALEZA FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Solustiano Blea was slow to take the kick. During this time ◄◄Lucas Cerro Largo►►'s players had a chance to rest. Ermengol Baena showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roland Renoux in the 41st minute of the match. Ermengol Baena showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Galsino Vilanova, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. ◄◄Lucas Cerro Largo►► made a substitution. Zenon Larrave replaced Grabiel Manurga. A collision led to HORTALEZA FC getting a freekick after 48 minutes play. Juan Guerrero hit a great ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

In the 76th minute Galsino Vilanova shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ermengol Baena saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Feijo Zárate didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Quirce Lamas went, in the 77th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-5 was the resulting score.
