Club Atlético Escocia's Roberto-Carlos Abbondanzieri played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fernando Marinho in the 14th minute of play. Fernando Marinho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 19 minutes into the game, Ding Beckham cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Roberto-Carlos Abbondanzieri was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched FC ICEWIND DALE eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
