Andrej Voronin took the ball and in the 15 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Severino Vergílio. Severino Vergílio dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. In the 18th minute, Mauro Carneiro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Estação F.C fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Severino Vergílio came out of the goal in the 24th minute to try and stop a shot by SV Klingsmoos's Moises Boniel. But to his dismay, Moises Boniel quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Erik Amend could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Severino Vergílio made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Malte Örtendahl in the 29th minute of play forced SV Klingsmoos's goalkeeper Berthold Bach to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Falcão Albuquerque kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. With an all-out effort, SV Klingsmoos's Severino Vergílio threw himself towards the right post 35 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Moises Boniel, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 40th minute, Ulisses Proença hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Severino Vergílio made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Torsten Henning sent off a good shot on target. In the 44th minute, one of SV Klingsmoos:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for SV Klingsmoos. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Estação F.C's Wellington Palmeira was substituted for Alex Gomes. The supporters of SV Klingsmoos booed when Estação F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Malte Örtendahl didn't get a good kick on the ball.
