De Pelgrims's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Pedro Jerrold was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 15th minute Denis Oprescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mike Zoetmulder saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Daniel Jienescu made a fantastic save in the 20th minute, when Perivaldo Eger sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Perivaldo Eger got free with Daniel Jienescu in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Mike Zoetmulder showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eugen Croitoru in the 31st minute of the match. Daniel Jienescu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mathias de Ruijter went, in the 36th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. 38 minutes into the game, Perivaldo Eger was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. De Pelgrims's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave GoalHunters the free kick. A collision led to De Pelgrims getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Perivaldo Eger hit a great ball. Daniel Jienescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mathias de Ruijter, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Perivaldo Eger to make the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Pedro Jerrold in the 50th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mike Zoetmulder prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 61st minute, De Pelgrims's Twan Mol seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Twan Mol the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of De Pelgrims protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Twan Mol had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In a very dangerous position, a player in De Pelgrims fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 61st minute. Penalty! Mike Zoetmulder had in the 63rdth minute some difficulties stopping Fabian Joldea's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Huub Gerrits in the 65th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Daniel Jienescu saved GoalHunters from getting behind. Mike Zoetmulder made an important save on a dangerous shot by Pedro Jerrold in the 66th minute. João Gaúcho blasted a shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mike Zoetmulder having to make a save. 95 minutes into the match, GoalHunters's goal looked a bit too open when Perivaldo Eger came free, but Daniel Jienescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. De Pelgrims's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Fu Peng Feng in the 97th minute. When the match had gone on for 97 minutes, Huub Gerrits put it in 2-2 from a short distance just to the right of Daniel Jienescu. The GoalHunters players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented De Pelgrims from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
