After some careless play in the Börna Bulldogs defense, Ferruccio Zarillo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Andreas Andersson. The Börna Bulldogs fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Andreas Andersson should have stopped the shot. In the 34th minute Ferruccio Zarillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andreas Andersson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 38 played minutes Börna Bulldogs got a freekick which was hit by Xiao Zhen Jian. Börna Bulldogs's Andreas Andersson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ettore Santo in the 40th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Gong Qi Fan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hélio O'Connell was relentless in the 42nd minute of the game. The Börna Bulldogs fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-5. 66 minutes into the match, Maritek FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gong Qi Fan came free, but Hélio O'Connell reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Gong Qi Fan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Eli Mariani's late challenge caught a Börna Bulldogs's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hélio O'Connell was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Yngve Åström kicked well hit freekick during the 97th minute of the match. In the 98th minute, Eli Mariani ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Andreas Andersson was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-8. The Maritek FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Maritek FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
