Joélson Domingues came out of the goal in the 12th minute to try and stop a shot by COPERNICUS TORUŃ's Tahsin Atacan. But to his dismay, Tahsin Atacan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. 15 minutes into the match, Lucky Star's goal looked a bit too open when Tahsin Atacan came free, but Joélson Domingues reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gordon Horgan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Yani Tegarkov, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. In the 18th minute, Tahsin Atacan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Brion Murphy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joélson Domingues having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tahsin Atacan in the 44th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Joélson Domingues saved Lucky Star from getting behind.

The Lucky Star fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Joélson Domingues should have stopped the shot. The COPERNICUS TORUŃ fans cheered their team off the field, for while Lucky Star had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
