Leonides Valentine showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fabricio Vedeja, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. With his leg Joel Caton managed to avoid a goal in the 11thth minute, when Argentino de Banfield's Victorio Bemabe fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 14th minute Nunez Berasko shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joel Caton saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Raimundo Castulo took the ball and in the 16 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Joel Caton. Joel Caton dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Loja S.C.'s Joel Caton played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nunez Berasko in the 20th minute of play. 21 minutes into the match, Loja S.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Lavan Querubin came free, but Joel Caton reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lavan Querubin got free with Joel Caton in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 23 played minutes Argentino de Banfield got a freekick which was hit by Danilo Jobo. Reasco Landeros recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 27 minutes into the match, Loja S.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Victorio Bemabe came free, but Joel Caton reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Joel Caton took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Victorio Bemabe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 30th minute Felix Pascua shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leonides Valentine saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leonides Valentine made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felix Pascua in the 41st minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

Leonides Valentine made an important save on a dangerous shot by Felix Pascua in the 68th minute. 71 minutes into the match, Loja S.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Raimundo Castulo came free, but Joel Caton reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Loja S.C.'s Joel Caton played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nunez Berasko in the 73rd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Loja S.C.'s Hidalgo Gallegos got a free kick in the 75th minute. Joel Caton made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Victorio Bemabe in the 77th minute of play. 80 minutes into the match, Victorio Bemabe notched a goal, 6-0, to the right of Loja S.C.'s Joel Caton. Joel Caton was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Joel Caton showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Victorio Bemabe in the 83rd minute of the match. Joel Caton made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Victorio Bemabe in the 87th minute of play. 89 minutes into the game, Victorio Bemabe cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 7-0. Joel Caton was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Joel Caton came out of the goal in the 93rd minute to try and stop a shot by Argentino de Banfield's Raimundo Castulo. But to his dismay, Raimundo Castulo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 8-0.
