An unexpectedly hard shot by Niclas Jakobsson in the 9th minute of play forced Radnicki 1923 Kg-Stars™'s goalkeeper Cheikh Barbereau to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dušan Vlahovic could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but Austen Willis made a huge save. Marcus Olsman kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. In the 34th minute of the match Jugoslav Đurđević shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Austen Willis showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Övertorneå RK's Igor Erroman got a free kick in the 38th minute. In the 39th minute the ball was on its way in behind Radnicki 1923 Kg-Stars™'s goalkeeper Cheikh Barbereau, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 42nd minute, Joseph Fleckenstein hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 47 minutes into the match, Övertorneå RK's goalkeeper Austen Willis had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dušan Vlahovic. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The supporters of Radnicki 1923 Kg-Stars™ booed when Övertorneå RK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Igor Erroman didn't get a good kick on the ball. The throw-in from Murat Jerković in the 70th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Övertorneå RK's Claes Sjögren. In the 71st minute Gu Zhan Qiang shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Austen Willis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Övertorneå RK defense, Gu Zhan Qiang kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Austen Willis. The Övertorneå RK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Austen Willis should have stopped the shot. Övertorneå RK made a substitution. August Bergendahl replaced Kurt-Jürgen Kurri. Övertorneå RK's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
