Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gugu de Mendonça in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Soulis Vamvakousis prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Gugu de Mendonça could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Soulis Vamvakousis made a huge save. In the 25th minute Chatziantoniou Xanthos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ariel Venerando saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In a very dangerous position, a player in meteora 1929 fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 26th minute. Penalty! Ariel Venerando showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nikos Sarkanis, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Gugu de Mendonça managed to get in a good position for a shot. Road To Glory's supporters rose to their feet, but Gugu de Mendonça was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Soulis Vamvakousis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 46 played minutes meteora 1929 got a freekick which was hit by Theofilos Bozidis. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gugu de Mendonça to strike the kick off in the second half. Nikos Sarkanis came free with the goalkeeper in the 57th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Ariel Venerando could save by the left post. After 61 minutes of play, Road To Glory's Gugu de Mendonça made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Soulis Vamvakousis was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Gugu de Mendonça had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 68th match minute, Road To Glory was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leonardo Gaspard to maneuver through the defense. In the 70th minute, Gugu de Mendonça made a precise shot to the right of Soulis Vamvakousis. meteora 1929's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0. When Gugu de Mendonça came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Road To Glory fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gugu de Mendonça couldn't finish the play. Gugu de Mendonça's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Soulis Vamvakousis read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 80th minute of play. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Soulis Vamvakousis prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Theofilos Bozidis fell near the penalty area in the 85th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored meteora 1929's protests and gave Theofilos Bozidis a yellow card for diving instead. Theofilos Bozidis hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. A sloppy throw-in by Prodromos Kabourakis in the 86th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Road To Glory's Gao Xing Zhen. Soulis Vamvakousis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gugu de Mendonça in the 88th minute of the match. Theofilos Bozidis made in the 89th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Nikos Sarkanis. Ariel Venerando made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nikos Sarkanis in the 91st minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as meteora 1929's Dimitris Fragou slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ariel Venerando. That made the score 5-1 after 92 minutes of play. The Road To Glory support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
