The H E P T A N fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Orhan Seyfi Üstün should have stopped the shot. Ali Orhan Yalvaç fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ariel Venerando having to interfere. Gugu de Mendonça scored 0-2 in the 14th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Orhan Seyfi Üstün, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 17 played minutes H E P T A N got a freekick which was hit by Mustafa Namık Baştugay. When Road To Glory's Gugu de Mendonça in the 19th minute got a chance for a shot 19th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After 41 minutes, Egon Markusson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Road To Glory and the H E P T A N players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a defensive mix-up in H E P T A N's zone, Gugu de Mendonça stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Orhan Seyfi Üstün came out of the goal and Gugu de Mendonça tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Road To Glory supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Road To Glory would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
