New Joinville - FSCMZ's Xande Buffon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raimundo Travassos in the 22nd minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Xandinho Kane in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fábio Pinheiro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 31 minutes into the match, Júnior Quintana notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of New Joinville - FSCMZ's Xande Buffon. Xande Buffon was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After having played for 40 minutes, Xandinho Kane managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. New Joinville - FSCMZ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Xandinho Kane was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fábio Pinheiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gustavo-Hernán Cadelo, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. In the 44th minute, Gustavo-Hernán Cadelo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Júnior Quintana was the one to do the kick off. If Xandinho Kane had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Júnior Quintana fell near the penalty area in the 58th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gremio NG's protests and gave Júnior Quintana a yellow card for diving instead. In the 58th match minute, Gremio NG was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Júnior Quintana to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dino do Vale in the 61st minute of play forced New Joinville - FSCMZ's goalkeeper Xande Buffon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Xande Buffon stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dino do Vale's shot from short distance in the 61st minute. In the 66th minute the ball was on its way in behind Gremio NG's goalkeeper Fábio Pinheiro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A collision led to New Joinville - FSCMZ getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Jacob Santalla hit a great ball. 71 minutes into the match, Raimundo Travassos had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Xande Buffon. New Joinville - FSCMZ's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Raimundo Travassos was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Xande Buffon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Júnior Quintana, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fábio Pinheiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Xandinho Kane in the 83rd minute of the match. In the 90th minute, Raimundo Travassos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gustavo-Hernán Cadelo in the 91st minute of play forced Gremio NG's goalkeeper Fábio Pinheiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gremio NG's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
