After a defensive mix-up in Royal Antwerp FC's zone, Ladislao Bermudez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bart-Jan Van De Beeck came out of the goal and Ladislao Bermudez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Los Patanes getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Julio Bitxintxo hit a great ball. Jacob de Pelsmaeker's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 17thth minute, Vinícius Bueno skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. When the match clock showed 18 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Jacob de Pelsmaeker sped through Los Patanes's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Vinícius Bueno. 21 minutes into the match, Royal Antwerp FC's goal looked a bit too open when Rolando Rumaldo came free, but Bart-Jan Van De Beeck reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Royal Antwerp FC booed when Los Patanes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edgar Andronache didn't get a good kick on the ball. Los Patanes's Vinícius Bueno played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Constantijn Ruelens in the 24th minute of play. Bart-Jan Van De Beeck showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rolando Rumaldo, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Jacob de Pelsmaeker's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 27thth minute, Vinícius Bueno skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Bart-Jan Van De Beeck came out of the goal in the 31st minute to try and stop a shot by Los Patanes's Rolando Rumaldo. But to his dismay, Rolando Rumaldo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Constantijn Ruelens in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vinícius Bueno saved Los Patanes from getting behind. Jacob de Pelsmaeker could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but Vinícius Bueno made a huge save. In the 42nd minute, Royal Antwerp FC's Constantijn Ruelens dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-1. Arsenio Dodorol's late challenge caught a Royal Antwerp FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Arsenio Dodorol helped the player get up and apologised. Arsenio Dodorol kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. Jacob de Pelsmaeker struck a weak shot in the 48th minute. Vinícius Bueno didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Royal Antwerp FC. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Rolando Rumaldo made the kick off in the second half. In the 52ndth minute of the game Jacob de Pelsmaeker who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Los Patanes's Vinícius Bueno was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jacob de Pelsmaeker in the 53rd minute of play forced Los Patanes's goalkeeper Vinícius Bueno to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vinícius Bueno made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Constantijn Ruelens in the 55th minute of play. Jacob de Pelsmaeker blasted a shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Vinícius Bueno having to make a save. In the 62nd minute, Constantijn Ruelens ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Vinícius Bueno was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Guillaume Niewens during the 65th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After having played for 68 minutes, Constantijn Ruelens managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Royal Antwerp FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Constantijn Ruelens was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Los Patanes's Vinícius Bueno played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Constantijn Ruelens in the 72nd minute of play.
