The crowd rose to their feet as Ibis Football Club's Eurico Peixoto slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Bin Shevchenko. That made the score 1-0 after 13 minutes of play. Eurico Peixoto might have been able to make a better finish in the 16th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bin Shevchenko. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Eurico Peixoto ran back to his position shaking his head. Bin Shevchenko took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eurico Peixoto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Acácio Vasco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from José Augusto Couto, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Eurico Peixoto received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Bin Shevchenko came out and tried to block the shot, but Eurico Peixoto slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 23rd minute. Eurico Peixoto's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Bin Shevchenko firmly grabbed it by the left post. Bin Shevchenko made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eurico Peixoto in the 33rd minute of play. Eurico Peixoto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.
The wind increased when Eurico Peixoto made the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eurico Peixoto in the 87th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bin Shevchenko prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Eurico Peixoto managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ibis Football Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Eurico Peixoto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bin Shevchenko breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Eurico Peixoto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Ibis Football Club were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Blumenau Esporte Clube for a fine match.
