After some careless play in the A.D Garotos do Vale defense, Giuseppe Catarinense kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Virgílio Carneiro. The A.D Garotos do Vale fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Virgílio Carneiro should have stopped the shot. AD Pontassolense's Severiano Zambujal suffered a sore thigh after 7 minutes and couldn't finish the game. 7 minutes into the game, Nelson Penha was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. A.D Garotos do Vale's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave AD Pontassolense the free kick. Virgílio Carneiro came out of the goal in the 13th minute to try and stop a shot by AD Pontassolense's Nuno Madruga. But to his dismay, Nuno Madruga quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Giuseppe Catarinense was extremely unlucky when he, in the 15th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. In the 17th minute, Nuno Madruga reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Virgílio Carneiro. The goal made the score 3-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nuno Madruga in the 21st minute of play forced A.D Garotos do Vale's goalkeeper Virgílio Carneiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nuno Madruga could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Virgílio Carneiro made a huge save. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Januário Domingos made the kick off in the second half. Virgílio Carneiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Giuseppe Catarinense in the 52nd minute of play. AD Pontassolense walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
