The supporters of Ninjas in Pyjamas booed when Scofield was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ulises Blai didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 21st minute, Albert Vaştag sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Scofield's Constantino Mel didn't even have to move. In the 22nd minute, Manuel Zaharia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sorin Burdulea during the 26th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Sorin Burdulea kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Timoteo Rufo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Scofield's supporters rose to their feet, but Timoteo Rufo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aron Neculce breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Constantino Mel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Robert Onofrei in the 34th minute of play. Samuel Isaio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Iosif Mihele charged in rather forcefully in the 40th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Iosif Mihele the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Iosif Mihele kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. Constantino Mel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Robert Onofrei, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Aron Neculce came out of the goal in the 45th minute to try and stop a shot by Scofield's Timoteo Rufo. But to his dismay, Timoteo Rufo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Robert Onofrei to strike the kick off in the second half. Timoteo Rufo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Ninjas in Pyjamas getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Iosif Mihele hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Robert Onofrei got free with Constantino Mel in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 59th minute, Scofield's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Albert Vaştag fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 69th minute, Timoteo Rufo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Aron Neculce was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Robert Onofrei could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 73rd minute of the match, but Constantino Mel made a huge save. Ninjas in Pyjamas were furious when Sol Campbell was red carded, 78 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In a very dangerous position, a player in Ninjas in Pyjamas fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 78th minute. Penalty! Constantino Mel didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Robert Onofrei went, in the 82nd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. Aron Neculce made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Timoteo Rufo in the 86th minute of play.

Ninjas in Pyjamas's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
