FC Fura Balizas's Edgar Neiva was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Xande Gay in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Kai Schirmer stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Claudemiro Fragoso's shot from short distance in the 8th minute. In the 11th match minute, FC Fura Balizas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alberto Vides to maneuver through the defense. Xande Gay took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edgar Neiva, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pascoal Antas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Xande Gay read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 20th minute of play. Pavlo Kotyuk made in the 22nd minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Sílvio Luiz de Godoi however managed to control. Sport Club Mavericks's Xande Gay played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pascoal Antas in the 23rd minute of play. After 24 minutes Sport Club Mavericks's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Alberto Vides who took care of the corner kick. The supporters of FC Fura Balizas booed when Sport Club Mavericks was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. İslam Tunçbilek didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Edgar Neiva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. FC Fura Balizas's Kai Schirmer proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save FC Fura Balizas from getting a goal against them. Kai Schirmer stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Claudemiro Fragoso's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. FC Fura Balizas's Angélico Cavaco managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Pavlo Kotyuk in the 37 minute of the game. In the 38th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sport Club Mavericks's goalkeeper Xande Gay, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 39th minute, André Palmeira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Xande Gay made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edgar Neiva in the 43rd minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.
After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Claudemiro Fragoso managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sport Club Mavericks's supporters rose to their feet, but Claudemiro Fragoso was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kai Schirmer breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pascoal Antas in the 55th minute of play forced Sport Club Mavericks's goalkeeper Xande Gay to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Claudemiro Fragoso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sport Club Mavericks's Jairo Bastos was substituted for Sílvio Luiz de Godoi. Sport Club Mavericks made a substitution. Hélio Nascimento replaced Claudemiro Fragoso. Kai Schirmer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elder Arantes, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute.
The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. FC Fura Balizas walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
