Filomeno Remir could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but Alysson Rezende made a huge save. A collision led to Manfredi AFC getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Nereo Osasun hit a great ball. In the 14th minute Mai Yi Xu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roman Vachon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Igor Cavalera had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Andrea Heraso charged in rather forcefully in the 43rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Andrea Heraso the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Igor Cavalera was the one to do the kick off. Alysson Rezende showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Filomeno Remir, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. In the 58th minute Jerônimo Vergílio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roman Vachon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Manfredi AFC's Roman Vachon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jerônimo Vergílio in the 58th minute of play. Alysson Rezende didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Filomeno Remir went, in the 60th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. In the 68th minute of the match, Jerônimo Vergílio tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Roman Vachon saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. When Thomas Lang came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Ogro F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Thomas Lang couldn't finish the play. Manfredi AFC's Ronald Ferenc was substituted for Aristides Cesaro. Manfredi AFC's Son Banana was substituted for Filomeno Remir. Ogro F.C.'s Dan Zimmermann was substituted for Thomas Lang. Ogro F.C.'s Nicko McBrain was substituted for Alex Van Halen. Alysson Rezende made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fausto Rafe in the 74th minute of play. Alysson Rezende showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Son Banana, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. Roman Vachon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Igor Cavalera in the 82nd minute of play. Neither team could find the winning goal during normal time. The second half finished 2-2. Extra-time would have to be played.

All the players looked a little tired when it was time for the first half of the overtime. It was Manfredi AFC's Son Banana that got to make the kick off. Roman Vachon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jerônimo Vergílio, who was totally free with the ball in the 102nd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ronald Ferenc got free with Alysson Rezende in the 104th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 105 minutes of play, Manfredi AFC's Son Banana made it 3-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alysson Rezende was left in no man's land by his defense there!
