To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mourad Floury hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. Valette Stars's Adrien Tanneau played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marco Fabelo in the 19th minute of play. Olgierd Balonek hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Valette Stars's zone, Marco Fabelo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adrien Tanneau came out of the goal and Marco Fabelo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Adrien Tanneau showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marco Fabelo, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Saul Eriz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anderson Trigo having to interfere. In the 29th minute, Marco Fabelo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Fae Folgore fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. João do Nascimento's late challenge caught a Valette Stars's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. João do Nascimento helped the player get up and apologised. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 36th minute of the game. One of Fae Folgore:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Valette Stars:s goal. The goalkeeper, Anderson Trigo, was totally fooled by Valette Stars's Saul Eriz, who 38 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Jakub Latocha scored 1-2 in the 44th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Adrien Tanneau, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marco Fabelo in the 47th minute of play forced Valette Stars's goalkeeper Adrien Tanneau to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half Fae Folgore were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Saul Eriz was the one to do the kick off. With his leg Adrien Tanneau managed to avoid a goal in the 58thth minute, when Fae Folgore's Marco Fabelo fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Valette Stars's Adrien Tanneau proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save Valette Stars from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Fae Folgore booed when Valette Stars was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nelson Nogueira didn't get a good kick on the ball.
