Färid Mondragón took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Radomil Redisz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Manuel Tufescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Filomeno Igon in the 12th minute of play. Manuel Tufescu was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Róbert Benkó showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 14 minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in FC MCM's zone, Róbert Benkó stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Manuel Tufescu came out of the goal and Róbert Benkó tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to FC MCM getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Leontin Toma hit a great ball. In the 30th minute, Radomil Redisz made a precise shot to the right of Färid Mondragón. Armada's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Filomeno Igon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Manuel Tufescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rivaldo Esquerdo kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Manuel Tufescu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Róbert Benkó's shot from short distance in the 45th minute. 46 minutes into the game, FC MCM's Bogdan Agusoaei nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Färid Mondragón made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Radomil Redisz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Färid Mondragón showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bogdan Agusoaei in the 54th minute of the match. Manuel Tufescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Róbert Benkó in the 56th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Róbert Benkó in the 57th minute of play forced FC MCM's goalkeeper Manuel Tufescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 76th minute of the game. One of FC MCM:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Armada:s goal. With a little luck, Armada's Färid Mondragón got control of the ball when Bogdan Agusoaei tried to sneak it across the goal line. Leontin Toma made in the 84th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Armada's He Wei Feng. An unexpectedly hard shot by Róbert Benkó in the 86th minute of play forced FC MCM's goalkeeper Manuel Tufescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
