After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Róbert Benkó managed to get in a good position for a shot. Armada's supporters rose to their feet, but Róbert Benkó was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. José-Luis Chilavert breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Róbert Benkó in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck José-Luis Chilavert prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Färid Mondragón took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Demetrio Cannata, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 28th minute Róbert Benkó shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José-Luis Chilavert saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Färid Mondragón showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcelo Chabier in the 34th minute of the match. Edmílson Severo charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Edmílson Severo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, EoDu Uai Sôccer's Edmílson Severo got a free kick in the 45th minute. José-Luis Chilavert was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Rivaldo Esquerdo. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Liviu Buceceanu was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Ertuğrul Ulutaş hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of EoDu Uai Sôccer booed when Armada was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Diego Maurino didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 57th minute of the match EoDu Uai Sôccer got a corner. Armada's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Senen Tartales ran over to the corner to take the kick. Jardel Cabezon made a great header on EoDu Uai Sôccer's corner, it was just that Armada's Färid Mondragón managed to reach the ball for a save. EoDu Uai Sôccer's José-Luis Chilavert played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Róbert Benkó in the 59th minute of play. José-Luis Chilavert showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rivaldo Esquerdo, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. After 65 played minutes Armada got a freekick which was hit by Ma Feng Sen. Färid Mondragón made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jardel Cabezon in the 67th minute. Demetrio Cannata blasted a shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Färid Mondragón having to make a save.
