Adrien Tanneau showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Liviu Buceceanu, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. In the 10th minute Róbert Benkó shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adrien Tanneau saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Armada's zone, Rafail Rusev stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Färid Mondragón came out of the goal and Rafail Rusev tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 20th minute, Rafail Rusev made a precise shot to the right of Färid Mondragón. Armada's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. After some careless play in the Valette Stars defense, Róbert Benkó kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Adrien Tanneau. The Valette Stars fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Adrien Tanneau should have stopped the shot. Färid Mondragón made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Rafail Rusev sent off a good shot on target. Maurice Crochard hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. Adrien Tanneau made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Liviu Buceceanu in the 45th minute of play. If Liviu Buceceanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mourad Floury during the 46th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Armada booed when Valette Stars was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mourad Floury didn't get a good kick on the ball. 49 minutes had been played when some careless play by Valette Stars's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Amine Barka was slow to take the kick. During this time Armada's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Amine Barka got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Adrien Tanneau quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Saul Eriz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Valette Stars's Rafail Rusev, in the 53rd minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Valette Stars. Adrien Tanneau made an important save on a dangerous shot by Róbert Benkó in the 55th minute. Adrien Tanneau showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Liviu Buceceanu in the 56th minute of the match. 62 minutes into the match, Valette Stars's goalkeeper Adrien Tanneau had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Róbert Benkó. After 63 played minutes Valette Stars got a freekick which was hit by Maurice Crochard. In the 64th minute, Pierre-Antoine Landemaine hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Armada's Amine Barka got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Adrien Tanneau made an important save on a dangerous shot by Róbert Benkó in the 67th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Róbert Benkó got free with Adrien Tanneau in the 71st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Liviu Buceceanu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Adrien Tanneau read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 74th minute of play. 80 minutes into the match, Valette Stars's Saul Eriz sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Färid Mondragón narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The Valette Stars supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Armada's performance. The match ended with a win for Armada.
