Mariusz Sebzda made a great header on Fae Folgore's corner, it was just that Valette Stars's Adrien Tanneau managed to reach the ball for a save. If Rafail Rusev had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Roald Lillehagen fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Fae Folgore's protests and gave Roald Lillehagen a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Fae Folgore getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Roald Lillehagen hit a great ball. When Rafail Rusev came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Valette Stars fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rafail Rusev couldn't finish the play. Cyprian Japola's late challenge caught a Valette Stars's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cyprian Japola helped the player get up and apologised. Fae Folgore were awarded a corner in the 32th minute after Valette Stars's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Mariusz Sebzda took the corner. The goalkeeper smacked the ball away after a great corner, but Wincenty Szarmach advanced and headed the ball into goal, 1-0 in the 32nd minute.
