Eustacio Sotero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rafail Rusev, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Eintracht Cernavoda's zone, Rafail Rusev stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eustacio Sotero came out of the goal and Rafail Rusev tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Eintracht Cernavoda's Emilian Bădulescu got a free kick in the 6th minute. Adrien Tanneau took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gigel Gologan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 13th minute of the match Eintracht Cernavoda got a corner. Valette Stars's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Narcis Bunescu ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Eintracht Cernavoda's corner Narcis Bunescu fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Adrien Tanneau quite easily take care of the ball. Adrien Tanneau showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gigel Tănăsocă in the 14th minute of the match. Eustacio Sotero stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rafail Rusev's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. Narcis Bunescu kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Eintracht Cernavoda's Eustacio Sotero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rafail Rusev in the 20th minute of play. Gigel Gologan blasted a shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Adrien Tanneau having to make a save. 27 minutes into the match, Valette Stars's goalkeeper Adrien Tanneau had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gigel Tănăsocă. Gigel Tănăsocă got the audiences attention when, from a short distance, he fired away a great shot in the 27th minute of the game. The shot hit the left post and bounced out. When the match had gone on for 27 minutes, Gigel Tănăsocă put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Adrien Tanneau. 31 minutes into the match, Valette Stars's goal looked a bit too open when Gigel Gologan came free, but Adrien Tanneau reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 32 minutes, Doru Baicu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Eintracht Cernavoda and the Valette Stars players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 32 played minutes Eintracht Cernavoda got a freekick which was hit by Doru Baicu. Eustacio Sotero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rafail Rusev in the 36th minute of play. 38 minutes into the match, Valette Stars's goal looked a bit too open when Gigel Gologan came free, but Adrien Tanneau reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Eintracht Cernavoda defense, Saul Eriz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Eustacio Sotero. The Eintracht Cernavoda fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eustacio Sotero should have stopped the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Rafail Rusev managed to get in a good position for a shot. Valette Stars's supporters rose to their feet, but Rafail Rusev was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eustacio Sotero breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Saul Eriz made a kick off. After having played for 53 minutes, Gigel Gologan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Eintracht Cernavoda's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gigel Gologan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience was convinced that Rafail Rusev's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Eustacio Sotero was relentless in the 55th minute of the game. After 58 played minutes Eintracht Cernavoda got a freekick which was hit by Nechifor Ibrișin. After some careless play in the Valette Stars defense, Gigel Gologan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Adrien Tanneau. The Valette Stars fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Adrien Tanneau should have stopped the shot. Eintracht Cernavoda's Rauf Tezay was substituted for Narcis Bunescu. 67 minutes into the game, Gigel Tănăsocă cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Adrien Tanneau was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a rather tough play, Eintracht Cernavoda's Gigel Gologan got a free kick in the 74th minute. 76 minutes into the match, Rafail Rusev had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Eustacio Sotero. Eintracht Cernavoda's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rafail Rusev was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. 80 minutes into the game, Gigel Gologan cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-2. Adrien Tanneau was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 92 minutes into the game, Robin Frémaux was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Valette Stars's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Eintracht Cernavoda the free kick.
