The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Radomil Redisz in the 2nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Zygmunt Koprowski prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Zygmunt Koprowski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Radomil Redisz in the 6th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Florin Chilian in the 8th minute of play forced FC MCM's goalkeeper Manuel Tufescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Iacob Vernescu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 12th minute of the match, but Manuel Tufescu made a huge save. Manuel Tufescu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Iacob Vernescu in the 20th minute. In the 27th minute, Dragoş Antoniu fired a really elegant long shot, but Manuel Tufescu threw himself and managed to get hold of the ball just in front of the right post. If Radomil Redisz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A hard shot by Dragoş Antoniu from long distance, 33 minutes into the match, got Manuel Tufescu's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Ioan Balint sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Zygmunt Koprowski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Radomil Redisz in the 37th minute of play. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Radomil Redisz to strike the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, BVB 09's goal looked a bit too open when Radomil Redisz came free, but Zygmunt Koprowski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The corner led FC MCM's Mugur Jupâneanu to fire away a dangerous shot which Zygmunt Koprowski despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. BVB 09's Dragoş Antoniu was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Manuel Tufescu in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
