Chancy Olympique's Alex Méret played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edoardo Filippini in the 31st minute of play. The audience was convinced that Edoardo Filippini's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alex Méret was relentless in the 39th minute of the game. Christophe Dureuil struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Alex Méret didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Royal PSG. Alex Méret showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edoardo Filippini, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. After 46 played minutes Chancy Olympique got a freekick which was hit by Lazlo Lauzier. Royal PSG's André Luquet got a good chance for a goal in the 48th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Stefan Schär got a throw-in 53 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Pawel Fleischer. Alex Méret showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fred Torres in the 54th minute of the match. In the 55th minute Pawel Fleischer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tristan Bétourne saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Edoardo Filippini blasted a shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alex Méret having to make a save. Alex Méret showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edoardo Filippini, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Alex Méret made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edoardo Filippini in the 61st minute of play. Chancy Olympique's Vladimir Weyermann was substituted for Pawel Fleischer. In the 65th match minute, Royal PSG was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by André Luquet to maneuver through the defense. Vladimir Weyermann sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Royal PSG's attentive Çeliker Müjdat managed to snatch the ball when Stefan Schär made a throw-in in the 70th minute of the game. 72 minutes into the match, Chancy Olympique's goal looked a bit too open when Fred Torres came free, but Alex Méret reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alex Méret took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Samuel Izard, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fred Torres in the 74th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alex Méret saved Chancy Olympique from getting behind. Alex Méret came out of the goal in the 78th minute to try and stop a shot by Royal PSG's Fred Torres. But to his dismay, Fred Torres quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. A throw-in in the 82nd minute of the game was made by Stefan Schär with Marcel van der Velden as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Fred Torres scored 2-1 in the 84th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Alex Méret, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 88th minute, Fred Torres got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a little luck, Royal PSG's Tristan Bétourne got control of the ball when Moisés Mangas tried to sneak it across the goal line. Alex Méret showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fred Torres, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute.
