In the 14th minute Marcelino Chirghentino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fernando Donatello saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Garin Cañizares in the 16th minute of play forced Clube Audax Metropolitano's goalkeeper Fernando Donatello to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Barney Thomson to make the kick off. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Clube Audax Metropolitano walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
