Galáctico Azul FC™'s Enrique Belasko tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 9th match minute, Galáctico Azul FC™ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Generoso Michael to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Clube Audax Metropolitano getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Mário Maranhense hit a great ball. When the match clock showed 21 minutes, the score became 2-2 when Eulalio Vincent sped through Clube Audax Metropolitano's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Fernando Donatello. 28 minutes into the match, Clube Audax Metropolitano's goal looked a bit too open when Victor Bernabel came free, but Fernando Donatello reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Victor Bernabel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Galáctico Azul FC™'s Eulalio Vincent in the 36th minute got a chance for a shot 36th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Enrique Belasko showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Matheus Martinelli, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. After a rather tough play, Galáctico Azul FC™'s Alfredo Xabel got a free kick in the 42nd minute. A collision led to Clube Audax Metropolitano getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Alfredão Loyola hit a great ball. After having played for 47 minutes, Maximo Cutberto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Galáctico Azul FC™'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Maximo Cutberto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After the first half Galáctico Azul FC™ were leading 2-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Barney Thomson made a kick off. Clube Audax Metropolitano's Fernando Donatello played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eulalio Vincent in the 56th minute of play. After 57 played minutes Clube Audax Metropolitano got a freekick which was hit by Wágner da Costa. After a rather tough play, Clube Audax Metropolitano's Anísio Velasco got a free kick in the 58th minute. Galáctico Azul FC™'s Maximo Cutberto got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some careless play in the Galáctico Azul FC™ defense, Luisão de Senna kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Enrique Belasko. The Galáctico Azul FC™ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Enrique Belasko should have stopped the shot. Galáctico Azul FC™ made a substitution. Jose Tiso replaced Maximo Cutberto. After 66 played minutes Clube Audax Metropolitano got a freekick which was hit by Anísio Velasco. Barney Thomson scored 4-3 in the 69th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Enrique Belasko, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Fernando Donatello stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eulalio Vincent's shot from short distance in the 73rd minute. With a little luck, Clube Audax Metropolitano's Fernando Donatello got control of the ball when Generoso Michael tried to sneak it across the goal line. Clube Audax Metropolitano's Fernando Donatello proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to save Clube Audax Metropolitano from getting a goal against them. When Matheus Martinelli fell near the penalty area in the 89th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Clube Audax Metropolitano's protests and gave Matheus Martinelli a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Galáctico Azul FC™ booed when Clube Audax Metropolitano was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luisão de Senna didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
