With a little luck, Brujas KV's Modesto Valery got control of the ball when Lucas Capellemans tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some careless play in the Brujas KV defense, Gert-Jan Volckaerts kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Modesto Valery. The Brujas KV fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Modesto Valery should have stopped the shot. Brujas KV's Modesto Valery played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Douglas Van Buyten in the 26th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Diederik Huijberechts in the 27th minute of play forced Brujas KV's goalkeeper Modesto Valery to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Brujas KV getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Ariel Lando hit a great ball. Modesto Valery took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gert-Jan Volckaerts, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Manuel Pelegrims made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernardino Blai in the 37th minute of play. Douglas Van Buyten charged in rather forcefully in the 37th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Douglas Van Buyten the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Douglas Van Buyten hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Bernardino Blai recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gert-Jan Volckaerts in the 44th minute of play forced Brujas KV's goalkeeper Modesto Valery to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Brujas KV were furious when Dante Eleazar was red carded, 45 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Dante Eleazar hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Gert-Jan Volckaerts managed to get in a good position for a shot. Limburg United's supporters rose to their feet, but Gert-Jan Volckaerts was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Modesto Valery breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ariel Lando made a kick off. In the 53rd minute, Bernardino Blai hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gert-Jan Volckaerts recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gert-Jan Volckaerts in the 57th minute of play forced Brujas KV's goalkeeper Modesto Valery to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 59 minutes into the match, Brujas KV's goal looked a bit too open when Diederik Huijberechts came free, but Modesto Valery reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Modesto Valery took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Diederik Huijberechts, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 63rd minute, Douglas Van Buyten made a precise shot to the right of Modesto Valery. Brujas KV's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. In the 75th minute of the match Gert-Jan Volckaerts sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Modesto Valery skillfully saved the ball. Gert-Jan Volckaerts scored 3-0 in the 78th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Modesto Valery, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Gert-Jan Volckaerts received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Modesto Valery tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bernardino Blai kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. If Lucas Capellemans had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mark Heijligem sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 91 minutes into the match, Diederik Huijberechts notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of Brujas KV's Modesto Valery. Modesto Valery was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 94 minutes into the match, Brujas KV's goal looked a bit too open when Diederik Huijberechts came free, but Modesto Valery reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
