A collision led to Daustad getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Dag Ose hit a great ball. Aristide Fetea recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Moise Ţurlău showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tord Sundnes, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. After 17 played minutes PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca got a freekick which was hit by Radu Cigu. The supporters of Daustad booed when PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Silver Phoenix didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Christian Liknes in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Moise Ţurlău saved PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Daustad's Dag Ose got a free kick in the 25th minute. Lento Phoenix got in the 26th minute a good position and tried a long shot which to a great surprise passed a very astonished Christian Miljeteig. This was a shot which ended in a score of 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tord Sundnes in the 29th minute of play forced PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's goalkeeper Moise Ţurlău to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 34th minute, Cristinel Uncheşelu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Radu Cigu in the 42ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Christian Miljeteig, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After a rather tough play, Daustad's Tom Dyrnes got a free kick in the 47th minute.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Christian Liknes to strike the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the game, Aristide Fetea cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Christian Miljeteig was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 59 minutes into the match, PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's goal looked a bit too open when Tord Sundnes came free, but Moise Ţurlău reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Codruț Macaneață hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. In the 78th minute, Tord Sundnes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 80th minute Felix Mihăilescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christian Miljeteig saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dag Ose made in the 82nd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's Lucian Şimonca. Lucian Şimonca recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Radu Cigu in the 84th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Christian Miljeteig prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Radu Cigu managed to get in a good position for a shot. PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's supporters rose to their feet, but Radu Cigu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Christian Miljeteig breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 92 minutes into the match, Daustad's goal looked a bit too open when Felix Mihăilescu came free, but Christian Miljeteig reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Christian Miljeteig showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felix Mihăilescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
