Gustavo Chacaltana was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Horacio Unzaga charged in rather forcefully in the 5th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Horacio Unzaga the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 5th minute, Horacio Unzaga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 14 minutes into the match, Eustacio Delgado had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Vicente Enaut. DESTROY's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Eustacio Delgado was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Albano Quintyn sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sarracino Owen hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. General Velásquez's Gustavo Chacaltana played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gaspar Galo in the 27th minute of play. A collision led to General Velásquez getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Sarracino Owen hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in General Velásquez's zone, Gaspar Galo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gustavo Chacaltana came out of the goal and Gaspar Galo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 37th match minute, DESTROY was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Albano Quintyn to maneuver through the defense. After 42 played minutes DESTROY got a freekick which was hit by Eulalio Ilixo. An unexpectedly hard shot by Albano Quintyn in the 45th minute of play forced General Velásquez's goalkeeper Gustavo Chacaltana to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 47th minute, Reinaldo Izarra hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Haroldo Eneko to make the kick off. The throw-in from Carmelo Avalos in the 53rd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by DESTROY's Di Maria. General Velásquez's Gustavo Chacaltana proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save General Velásquez from getting a goal against them. When Gaspar Galo fell near the penalty area in the 58th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored DESTROY's protests and gave Gaspar Galo a yellow card for diving instead. Gaspar Galo kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. Vicente Enaut showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sandro Porter, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. 62 minutes into the game, DESTROY's Haroldo Eneko nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gustavo Chacaltana made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. In the 66th minute, Carmelo Avalos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in General Velásquez's zone, Albano Quintyn stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gustavo Chacaltana came out of the goal and Albano Quintyn tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Vicente Enaut showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eustacio Delgado in the 70th minute of the match. A collision led to DESTROY getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Gaspar Galo hit a great ball. In the 73rd match minute, General Velásquez was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eustacio Delgado to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the General Velásquez defense, Albano Quintyn kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gustavo Chacaltana. The General Velásquez fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gustavo Chacaltana should have stopped the shot. Haroldo Eneko received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Gustavo Chacaltana came out and tried to block the shot, but Haroldo Eneko slotted it home off the left post making it 1-4 in the 78th minute. After 83 minutes, Eulalio Ilixo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the DESTROY and the General Velásquez players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 83rd match minute, DESTROY was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eulalio Ilixo to maneuver through the defense. General Velásquez's Gustavo Chacaltana played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Albano Quintyn in the 86th minute of play. When Albano Quintyn came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the DESTROY fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Albano Quintyn couldn't finish the play. Gustavo Chacaltana made an important save on a dangerous shot by Haroldo Eneko in the 90th minute. DESTROY played a much better game than General Velásquez and deserved their victory. The General Velásquez players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
