In the 2nd minute, Silvano Urdaspal left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Guanacos fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. After a rather tough play, Compostela FSCMZ's Jânio Monteiro got a free kick in the 5th minute. Casimiro Iago scored 0-2 in the 5th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Luiz Fernando Baiano, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, Guanacos's Silvano Urdaspal got a free kick in the 10th minute. In the 14th minute, Casimiro Iago hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 18 minutes into the match, Compostela FSCMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Silvano Urdaspal came free, but Luiz Fernando Baiano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luiz Fernando Baiano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Silvano Urdaspal, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. In the 20th match minute, Guanacos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tiburcio Ado to maneuver through the defense. Silvano Urdaspal recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Luiz Fernando Baiano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Severo Eudoxio in the 25th minute of play. In the 27th minute of the match Guanacos got a corner. Compostela FSCMZ's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Tiburcio Ado ran over to the corner to take the kick. 28 minutes into the game, Silvano Urdaspal was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Guanacos's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Compostela FSCMZ the free kick. A collision led to Guanacos getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Silvano Urdaspal hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Astor Errando during the 29th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Guanacos were furious when Astor Salbatore was red carded, 33 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 34th minute, Astor Salbatore hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After the first half Guanacos were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Silvano Urdaspal made a kick off. 60 minutes into the match, Silvano Urdaspal had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Luiz Fernando Baiano. Compostela FSCMZ's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Silvano Urdaspal was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. The audience thought a goal was coming when Silvano Urdaspal got free with Luiz Fernando Baiano in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Deivid Ferraz kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Compostela FSCMZ's Samuca Salles was substituted for Deivid Ferraz. In the 73rd minute Dinei Gonçalves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benicio Ulizes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 75th minute of the match Pedro Tasso sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Benicio Ulizes skillfully saved the ball. In the 76th minute, Evelio Havier hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 80th match minute, Guanacos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Damaso Pelagius to maneuver through the defense. The crowd rose to their feet as Guanacos's Casimiro Iago slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Luiz Fernando Baiano. That made the score 0-5 after 84 minutes of play. Silvano Urdaspal could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 87th minute of the match, but Luiz Fernando Baiano made a huge save. Casimiro Iago hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. In the 92nd minute, Walmyr Figueiredo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Compostela FSCMZ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-5.
