FC Grivata's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave DELUX the free kick. Erdi Bender showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sava Chuchev in the 8th minute of the match. Erdi Bender made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yngve Johnstad in the 10th minute of play. FC Grivata's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dinu Potra was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Lachezar Túrpomanov managed to get in a good position for a shot. DELUX's supporters rose to their feet, but Lachezar Túrpomanov was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Thomas Sørensen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Tzanyo Barbutski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With an all-out effort, FC Grivata's Erdi Bender threw himself towards the right post 28 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Sava Chuchev, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Thomas Sørensen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dinu Potra in the 29th minute of the match. Erdi Bender took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sava Chuchev, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 33rd minute Sava Chuchev shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erdi Bender saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 34 minutes into the match, DELUX's goalkeeper Erdi Bender had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tzvetoslav Serdev. Thomas Sørensen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dinu Potra, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Dinu Potra recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Erdi Bender made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eero Grönholm in the 42nd minute. With a little luck, DELUX's Erdi Bender got control of the ball when Tzvetoslav Serdev tried to sneak it across the goal line. Dinu Potra kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. Eero Grönholm received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Erdi Bender came out and tried to block the shot, but Eero Grönholm slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 47th minute. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When Reiner Sørrig fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Grivata's protests and gave Reiner Sørrig a yellow card for diving instead. In the 54th minute of the match, Dinu Potra got a very nice opportunity to score, but Thomas Sørensen was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 61st minute Eero Grönholm shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erdi Bender saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Tzanyo Barbutski came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the DELUX fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tzanyo Barbutski couldn't finish the play. In the 63rd minute, Yngve Johnstad hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thomas Sørensen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dominik Szoboszlai, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. DELUX's Erdi Bender played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yngve Johnstad in the 66th minute of play. A collision led to DELUX getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Lachezar Túrpomanov hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, FC Grivata's Eero Grönholm got a free kick in the 69th minute. DELUX's Dominik Szoboszlai got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 77 minutes into the match, DELUX's goal looked a bit too open when Yngve Johnstad came free, but Erdi Bender reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Erdi Bender made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sava Chuchev in the 95th minute of play. FC Grivata's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
