Caxias do Sul was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Renato Augusto didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 48 played minutes, Poetass FC's Zachariasz Rzentkowski shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Esen Sanal came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Poetass FC reached it.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lucio Siekkötter to make the kick off. 4-0 became the score in the 54th minute when Krisztián Véber elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Moisés Arruda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Krisztián Véber in the 57th minute of the match. In the 60th minute of the match, Zeng Xu Yuan tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Esen Sanal saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kalle Billberg got free with Esen Sanal in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Lei Feng Yan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Poetass FC made a substitution. Váldson Miranda replaced Cleiton Carioca. In the 70th minute Lucio Siekkötter shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Moisés Arruda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lucio Siekkötter was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Moisés Arruda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucio Siekkötter in the 82nd minute of play. 86 minutes into the match, Poetass FC's goal looked a bit too open when Lucio Siekkötter came free, but Moisés Arruda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Moisés Arruda took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ricardinho de Senna, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 88th minute Lucio Siekkötter shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Moisés Arruda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Esen Sanal didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Witalis Brysz went, in the 90th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-2 was the resulting score. The corner led Poetass FC's Celsinho Montenegro to fire away a dangerous shot which Esen Sanal despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 95 minutes into the game, S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's Lucio Siekkötter nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Moisés Arruda made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-2. S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
