Luiz Corrêa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alessandro Del Piero in the 15th minute. With an all-out effort, A4p FC Gad's Luiz Corrêa threw himself towards the right post 42 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from James Batistuta, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

In the 90th minute, Luiz Fabiano Furlan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 91 minutes into the match, Gică Busuioc had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Luiz Corrêa. ROSÁRIO SPORT's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gică Busuioc was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Douglas Basso got free with Glenn Fyfe in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Gică Busuioc had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. A4p FC Gad fully deserved thier win.
