The corner went over the outstretched arms of Poetass FC's goalie and right to Raimundo Faria. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Poetass FC's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. If Felipe Santos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Poetass FC's Moisés Arruda proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to save Poetass FC from getting a goal against them. Moisés Arruda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felipe Santos in the 47th minute of the match. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jon-Egil Schjelderup could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 59th minute of the match, but Durval Marinho made a huge save. Poetass FC's Moisés Arruda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felipe Santos in the 63rd minute of play. In the 65th match minute, Relyn Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Walter Samuel to maneuver through the defense. Poetass FC's Nildo de Souza was substituted for Gerson Carneiro. Poetass FC's Váldson Miranda was substituted for Cleiton Carioca. Walter Samuel hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match.
