The audience was convinced that Dennis Bergkamp's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Henry Tucknott was relentless in the 82nd minute of the game. In the 87thth minute of the game Dennis Bergkamp who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but General Velásquez's Henry Tucknott was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 89th minute of the match U21 Peru got a corner. General Velásquez's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. U21 Peru's Egoitz Ferreiro was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Henry Tucknott in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 92 minutes into the game, Luiz Fernando Cardoso threw the ball into play from the sideline. U21 Peru's Ramon Pujol quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
