Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Rodrigo Huilipan started the match with the kick off. Hipolito Fritz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Clemente Tuñon, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. Cristopher Damian sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 11 minutes, Gustav Tidéksson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the General Velásquez and the U21 Chile players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, General Velásquez's Gustav Tidéksson got a free kick in the 11th minute. Damario Teran showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rodrigo Huilipan in the 16th minute of the match. General Velásquez were awarded a corner in the 24th minute after U21 Chile's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Clemente Tuñon took the corner. Hipolito Fritz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Guntademaro Goyenechea went, in the 26th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. When Jorge Vicente Squella came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the General Velásquez fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jorge Vicente Squella couldn't finish the play. Guntademaro Goyenechea struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Hipolito Fritz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for General Velásquez. After 38 played minutes U21 Chile got a freekick which was hit by Mark Gonzalez. Hipolito Fritz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Clemente Tuñon in the 39th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in U21 Chile's zone, Apolo Irigoyen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hipolito Fritz came out of the goal and Apolo Irigoyen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.
General Velásquez's Guntademaro Goyenechea got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Damario Teran made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Cristopher Damian sent off a good shot on target. Damario Teran was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Cristopher Damian showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 59 minute of play. With his leg Damario Teran managed to avoid a goal in the 63rdth minute, when U21 Chile's Mark Gonzalez fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After 68 minutes of play, General Velásquez's Guntademaro Goyenechea made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hipolito Fritz was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 78th minute, Guntademaro Goyenechea made a precise shot to the right of Hipolito Fritz. U21 Chile's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. 82 minutes into the game, Rodrigo Huilipan recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Damario Teran. Rodrigo Huilipan showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rodrigo Huilipan in the 88th minute of play forced General Velásquez's goalkeeper Damario Teran to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 89 minutes of play, General Velásquez's Guntademaro Goyenechea made it 4-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hipolito Fritz was left in no man's land by his defense there! A collision led to General Velásquez getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Apolo Irigoyen hit a great ball. 95 minutes into the game, Luiz Fernando Cardoso was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. General Velásquez's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave U21 Chile the free kick. In the 94th minute, one of General Velásquez:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for General Velásquez. When the match had been going on for 96 minutes, U21 Chile's Mark Gonzalez got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Damario Teran.
