Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Valdomiro Luz started the match with the kick off. The corner led Brazil's Morales Moreira to fire away a dangerous shot which Paulo Leão despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 7th minute the ball was on its way in behind Misericordia EC's goalkeeper Paulo Leão, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Maurinho Mendonça might have been able to make a better finish in the 10th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Paulo Leão. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Maurinho Mendonça ran back to his position shaking his head. Maurinho Mendonça could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but Paulo Leão made a huge save. Dida Martins made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Faustão Terra in the 14th minute of play. If Maurinho Mendonça had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Misericordia EC's Paulo Leão proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save Misericordia EC from getting a goal against them. Dida Martins made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zico Maravilha in the 20th minute of play. Maurinho Mendonça could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but Paulo Leão made a huge save. 23 minutes into the match, Brazil's Maurinho Mendonça sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Paulo Leão narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Dida Martins showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Faustão Terra, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. The Misericordia EC fans' excitement grew in the 25th match minute when Misericordia EC's Valdomiro Luz looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Paulo Leão showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Saulão Chettle, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Brazil's Maurinho Mendonça slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Paulo Leão. That made the score 1-1 after 32 minutes of play. Sergio-Roberto Dinamite received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Dida Martins tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Paulo Leão took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maurinho Mendonça, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 40th minute Brazil were awarded a corner. Morales Moreira went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Rafa de Almeida got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Paulo Leão quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. When the match had gone on for 40 minutes, Saulão Chettle put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Paulo Leão. Brazil's Rafa de Almeida quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Sérgio Muralhas, made in the 44th minute of the game. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Maurinho Mendonça made a kick off. Paulo Leão took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maurinho Mendonça, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Maurinho Mendonça's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Paulo Leão read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 55th minute of play. After some careless play in the Misericordia EC defense, Maurinho Mendonça kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Paulo Leão. The Misericordia EC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Paulo Leão should have stopped the shot. Brazil made a substitution. Marco Vianna replaced Maurinho Mendonça. An unexpectedly hard shot by Saulão Chettle in the 69th minute of play forced Misericordia EC's goalkeeper Paulo Leão to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rafa de Almeida made a great header on Brazil's corner, it was just that Misericordia EC's Paulo Leão managed to reach the ball for a save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Saulão Chettle in the 72nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Paulo Leão prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Dida Martins showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Faustão Terra, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Brazil's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Marco Vianna in the 76th minute. Brazil's Rafa de Almeida was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Paulo Leão in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Paulo Leão showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Clayton Gol in the 81st minute of the match. Misericordia EC's Paulo Leão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marco Vianna in the 85th minute of play. In the 87th minute, Clayton Gol ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Paulo Leão was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-1. After a rather tough play, Brazil's Saulão Chettle got a free kick in the 94th minute. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Brazil had won after a very even match.
